RGE RD is Canadian Cuisine. Our tastes and dishes are inspired by our country’s fields and forests, our mountains and oceans. Explore the tastes that Western Canada has to offer.
We source ingredients and provisions from farms and small-scale producers across Western Canada. Our menu is dictated by the season, and we aim to use every part of every ingredient.
Shared meals & private dining
The Butchery (our space next door to RGE RD) is where we host semi-frequent RGE RD events and parties, and book private events. The food tends to be more experimental as we test out new tastes and dishes.
The space can fit 36 people with standing room, and 24 people for seated dining. Our own events range in style and capacity, and are usually pre-sold with tickets (follow us to be sure you can get a seat at the next one). Private events can be arranged by contacting us via email.
Monthly – Big Bottles in the Butchery
Join us each month for a reservation-free, communal seating affair with small plates and big bottles. We will be opening some special wines out of big bottles (magnums are considered the smallest) and pouring by the glass. For beer we will feature growlers from some of our best local breweries. For the menu we’ll mix things up each month with tasty small bites and sharesies.

The meals that started it all. Each summer, RGE RD organizes a lineup of Farm Dinners across Alberta. These are special events and we really enjoy putting them on.
We work closely with many of our farm partners and have built “farm kitchens” that allow us to connect our guests to where our food is grown and the wonderful farmers growing it.
2018 Farm Dinners
Here’s our slate of dinners for the 2018 season! We’re excited to once again give you a chance to meet the people and places that grow our food. As always, these evenings feature hors d’oeuvres, a tour of the farm, and a five-course meal using ingredients grown on site. As a bonus, each dinner is paired with fantastic BC wines and a cocktail with local ingredients. We love to show what cuisine is possible from our own back yard!

Visit us each month at our Butchery for some freshly prepared terrines, rillettes, sausages and selection of cured meats from our larder. We also offer breads that use heritage grains sourced from local farmers and baked fresh daily out of our wood burning oven.
This little shop pops up once a month on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday from noon to 4pm.
Every item is first come first serve, and we stop selling when stock runs out. Phone ahead for large orders.

Do you sell gift certificates
Absolutely. You can purchase a gift certificate in person at the restaurant or order them over the phone and have them sent via mail.
Do you accommodate guests with dietary needs (Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-free etc.)
Yes we do. Please inform your server when you arrive.
Are babies and children welcome at RGE RD
Yes, babies and children are welcome, however we do not have any high-chairs, booster seats or change tables. We also do not have a children’s menu. That said we will always do our best to accommodate every guest.
Please let us know if you want to bring your children, even if they don’t require a chair. We have a small space and want to make sure it is comfortable for you and your loved ones.
Do you have a dress code
We do not have a dress code; we urge you to come as you are, top hat and all.
Are you Wheelchair Accessible
We are wheelchair accessible, however we are located in a very old building and do not have accessible parking stalls at this time. We apologize in advance for any difficulty coming through the door.
We accept reservations up to three months in advance. Reservations are best made through our website, but do not hesitate to call if you you’re having difficulty. We answer the phone and check messages from 2pm onward.
Please be patient as we may not to reply immediately due to a large volume of calls. Feel free to also email queries, however you might need to check your junk mail for our reply.
Can’t find a reservation?
We always have room for you! We accept walk ins at the bar. These are the best seats in the house in our humble opinion and offer a truly unique culinary experience. Drinking, eating, laughing and generally having a good time is encouraged, (but don’t take our word for it).
